Scottish Fencing is holding a coach education weekend on 20th/21st April at Dunblane High School.

The course fees for the weekend have been set at £50 per head.  Also, you can volunteer a student participant.

Wallace Fencing Academy has been running a British Academy of Fencing (BAF) coaching course over a number of days throughout the year.  This latest training day is for coaches continuing with their Level 2 or starting with their Level 1 coaching.

The training will be held at the usual Wallace Fencing location - Linlithgow Academy, Braehead Road, LINLITHGOW EH49 6EH - from 9:30am to 4pm.

The cost is £25 per day.

Scottish Fencing is continuing the sequence of “Ready Steady Fence” courses in the Coach Education Programme for the 2012-2013 fencing season.

Ready Steady Fence is an entry level National Governing Body qualification suitable for teachers, volunteers and activity leaders without previous fencing experience. It contains all you need to know to confidently introduce basic fencing skills, concepts, fun and games in schools, local clubs or youth groups in a safe and effective manner.

This training is spead over 2 days

A one day coaching course in Glasgow led by Mark McKenzie (Maitre d'Escrime).

Learn the basics of coaching and improve your tactical knowledge on the first of a series of courses leading to formal B.A.F. qualifications.

Alternatively, come as a fencer and receive a whole day of coaching from the trainees.

The course will primarily focus on foil, levels 1 & 2. If you want to do other weapons/levels, you can.

Armoury course covering fault tracing, blade rewiring and personal armoury will be made available on Saturday 16th February in Linlithgow academy.
