The Celtic Challenge is a bi-annual 6 weapon event for Veterans fencers from the following regions

• Alba - Scotland

• Briez - Brittany

• Cymru- Wales

• Eire - Ireland & N. Ireland

• Galicia/Asturias - Spain

• Kernow - Cornwall

• Mannin - Isle of Man

• Channel Islands

Eligibility 

Any fencer who is over 40 years old and satisfy the additional criteria based on their region - see Celtic Challenge website below.

Venue

Cardiff City House of Sport, Clos Parc Morgannwg, Cardiff CF11 8AW

Approx 12 miles from Cardiff Airport, a 30-minute taxi drive, cost approx £45 for a 4 seater estate car.

Cost

All entrants will receive a complimentary "Goodie Bag" and commemorative T-shirt.

Saturday 29th July

• 0900 Men's Foil check-in; fencing to start at 0930
• 0900 Women's Sabre check-in; fencing to start at 0930
• 1300 Men's Sabre check-in; fencing to start at 1330
• 1300 Women's Foil check-in; fencing to start at 1330

Sunday 30th July

• 0930 Men's Epee check-in; fencing starts at 1000
• 0930 Women's Epee check-in; fencing starts at 1000

Gala Dinner

There will be a Gala Dinner on Saturday evening at Cardiff Castle, Castle St, Cardiff CF10 3RB.  The cost will be £40 per person.
